Description: Mural project carried out in partnership with Music SA through the City of Adelaide, Music Development Office and UNESCO.  

Adelaide became a designated UNESCO City of Music in 2015, and is the only Australian city with this designation.

The aim of this project is to highlight the excellence, diversity and cultural history of Adelaide as a City of Music, and to give the city a sense of pride about our UNESCO designation.

Description: LOVE IN THE TIME OF COVID-19 is an innovative contemporary art project that provides a marker for the extraordinary state of the world in 2020. Organised through GAGPROJECTS, Adelaide, artists were invited to contribute works in response to the pandemic, as a way of sharing art in difficult and isolating times. Their images present a diverse range of responses to the crisis, reflecting the uncertainties, fears and hopes of this time.

Seen in its entirety for the first time at AGSA, this  series is held in the AGSA collection.

Yartabulti

Mural for Wonderwalls Port Adelaide

Description: The Kaurna name for the Port River area, Yartabulti (Land of Sleep), comes from a natural occurrence every few years where the flow of the river stands still and gases are released from the riverbed sediment, stunning or killing fish and causing them to float to the water's surface. The painting also features the native Egret, and a selection of textures and patterns from historical architecture of the Port Adelaide area. Created in colsultation with local elder Uncle Lewis O'Brien.
